Kids
are welcome. Our spacious grounds provide a safe environment for kids with
two playground areas along with paddleboats, volleyball and basketball.
During the summer season we have kids activities several times a week. It
provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to meet the other kids. These
have proven to be very popular with the parents, also. The enclosed
heated pool provides hours of fun in any weather.

Interesting and educational side trips include the
Forest History Center, Deep Portage Conservation Reserve, Itasca State
Park and the Chippewa National Forest. Other nearby activities include
horseback riding, golf, casinos, wild animal petting park, waterslide,
restaurants, antique shops and shopping.
Sugar Point accepts
quiet well behaved pets. We ask that they are kept on a
leash and cleaned up after.

Our completely modern 1, 2 or 3 bedroom housekeeping
cabins are fully furnished. Completely equipped kitchens, full
bathrooms and bed linens are furnished. Some cabins have
microwave ovens, decks and fireplaces. Charcoal grills are
available. |
 |
|
|
|
| The cabins are well spaced
on our 1,100 feet of shore line, with beautiful lake views. |

Most cabins have been remodeled with updated kitchens
and baths. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with
electric coffee makers and toasters. Some have microwaves,
in addition to gas stoves and refrigerators. |
 |
You will need to bring dish and bath towels, soap and
personal effects. Don't forget your food, as we have only prepared
food available in the lodge, such as pizza, sandwiches, soft drinks and
ice cream. We also have a small grocery with milk, bread and some
canned goods, but no fresh meat or produce.
We do not have air conditioning,
dishwashers or TV's in the cabins. If you bring a TV be sure to have
a UHF antenna as four of your channels are UHF. You might want to
bring a fan, although if space is a premium, we do have them for
rent. In the summer most of the nights cool off to the lower 60's.
If you bring your computer, WiFi is available in the lodge.
